I am in the process of reading Gayle's book, which brought me to this website. As I have watched the start of St James church I cried and I believe through reading this book and watching you guys that God is opening my heart back up to him. I have been hurt by "church people" and turned away from him 6 yrs ago. I have tried to go to church but just can't seem to open up that part of my heart to people because of nontrust. Honestly, I can't stand a lot of church people. However, I know that I can't stay away forever. If I lived close to you guys I would attend your church. I will be praying for you as God works through you to do the work of Jesus! The work that I believe we are intended to do which is love the unlovable and reach out to those that are outcast by the church! We all make mistakes and for those that criticize you, I say to them- "you without sin cast the first stone" We all are in need of a savior and redemption. If we were able to redeem ourselves then why did Christ die on the cross for our sins? I know I am rambling but I just wanted you guys to know that you have touched my life. If you guys can rise above what you've been through, then surely I can attend and be involved in a church and do what God has called me to do which is to help those who need it! My heart has always been with those who no one else wants! Thank you so much for not giving up and Gayle, you are truly an inspiration to me and so many other women! God Bless you both and your family :-)

Excellent items from you, man. I've have in mind your stuff prior to and you are just extremely great. I really like what you have received here, certainly like what you are stating and the best way by which you assert it. You make it enjoyable and you still take care of to keep it sensible. I can not wait to read far more from you. This is really a great site.

God bless you Ted & Gayle & your family. God knows your hearts and intentions and has great things for you to accomplish through Him. May all the religious pharisaical people remember Jesus' words: "He without sin cast the first stone".

When you talk about the theory of evolution, you misrepresent the word theory. Please go and look it up. It does not mean that it is a guess, or simply an idea. It is backed up by FACTS. Please go and look at them!

Hi Ted Haggard, my name is Hector Torres. I'm the Senior Pastor of The Lighthouse Church in Brooklyn, NY. I've been following your story for quite a few years and it has definitely hit a soft spot on my heart. Many years ago my father was a Pastor of a Church. He was married, had several kids and while in ministry fell into an affair which cause him to resign from ministry. This left him feeling hopeless and unable to forgive himself. While continuing to live in constant shame, he had several affairs which led him to meeting my Mom who was widowed with 3 children. While he was in an adulteress relationship with my mother I was conceived and 2 years after my younger brother Daniel shortly followed. My Dad was between 2 women for most of my childhood. He would stay with us some nights and then would have to go back home for other nights to be with his wife. I know by now you're probably saying, "what a complicated situation.". But I share this to say that God is a God who never gives up on us. My Dad never told me about Jesus, but when I reached the age of 17 someone invited me to the Brooklyn Tabernacle and it was that one visit to the church that I found Jesus. After years of praying I finally led my Dad back to Jesus who never thought God would ever forgive him for what he had done. My relationship with my Dad has never been the best growing up but it is wonderful now. It's incredible to see that God took the very kids born our of an adulteress relationship and use them to bring my Dad back to a gracious forgiving God. This year I'm beginning 2012 with a series called "Revolution" and it is all based on the revolution Christ started when He came to the earth. Ted, it was a grace revolution. He came to liberate from trying to live under the curse of the law and to rely on the riches of His grace. My first sermon was on revolutionary acceptance. My Dad is 71 years old and we spent the afternoon watching football together and of course enjoying the win of Tim Tebow our beloved brother. My Dad said such a profound thing to me about God's grace. He said, "son, had I known what you know now about God grace when I was only 25 years old when I had fallen, I would never have left the ministry.". He came to really understand grace in a more rich and deeper way. He told me, "I feel free.". And isn't that what Jesus came to do, set us all free from the effects of sin and shame. I'm glad God is resurrecting you by His grace as He has done for my Dad, and hopefully for so many others. May God continue to encourage you on this journey of grace. God bless you, Gayle and your beautiful family.

I just watched the HBO documentary. I did not have opinion when I saw you in the news but now I am fortunate to have learnt from you. You are not a looser you are an amazing inspiration to everyone that has sinned - and we all have. May God bless you and your wonderful wife and children.

Dear Pastor Ted,

I watched Celebrity Wife Swap. I am so surprised that I was guided to leave you a message. Basically, I want to say that Gayle is a class act. Your entire family is lovely but she moved me.
