In 2007, Ted Haggard submitted to church authorities who required him to move out of the state of Colorado, find employment outside of ministry, never acknowledge that he had ever pastored New Life Church, and never correct misinformation in the press (see crisis facts for additional details). Alexandra Pelosi, a family friend of the Haggards, and her husband and newly born son, came to visit and recorded this material on their family video camera. After Ted was released from the Overseer’s contract, Alexandra took the footage to HBO who created and aired this documentary.

  • Finding Truth

As a society, we used to embrace the idea that mob rule and lynching without a rational and reasonable due process was not the way to determine truth and dispense justice, but that view has been overruled with our advocacy press corps, shared ignorance on social media, and the politicization of truth. • A Brief Exhortation on Faith
by tedhaggardblog on July 26, 2018 at 2:12 pm

Biblical faith in God is much more powerful than our human abilities. It's more than positive thinking, it's biblical thinking. It's more than saying the right things and maintaining optimism, it's saying what God says and seeing the way God sees. All human beings have intrinsic power, but faith unleashes a greater power. Faith is an infusion of God's plan into us to bring God's purpose to Earth. It's an impartation of Heaven. […]

  • Is Hell a Literal Place?

Some have strong opinions about God, thinking that their views are facts. I do not believe that it will serve us well to think we are superior to God or in a position to judge him. God is God, and we are human. We like it when the Lord accepts us like we are, which he does. He also likes it when we accept him as he is, which is difficult for many. […]

  • Is Healing for Everyone?

Christians have done more to fight disease than any other single group in the world. We resist sickness, disease, emotional suffering as well as spiritual darkness everywhere we have influence. We build hospitals and provide health care all over the world with an emphasis on resisting every kind of ailment. We encourage research and promote innovative techniques that prevent disease, heal, and improve nutrition. […]

  • Christianity Today Validates Positive Trends In Church (with a strange negative slant)
by infrontsteph on May 17, 2018 at 3:11 pm

By placing His divinity within our humanity, and then leaving us on the Earth to try to do what he is doing and say what he is saying, a monumental task develops . . . especially if increased numbers of people keep showing up in our churches. […]
